We are recruiting an experienced Product Manager to join our team in Barnsley.

The role:

  • You will be responsible for management of the established products within our broad product portfolio, ensuring that our product offering continues to be relevant to market conditions whilst remaining profitable.
  • You will be the focal point for product information across the business and champion the voice of the customer.
  • You will take ownership of product lifecycle management and corresponding processes from launch to end of life
  • High quality information is key to our business success, you will play a major role in sharing this by assisting and supporting other departments with product queries – this will include product and market intel including but not limited to cross referencing, pricing, sourcing, obsolescence and catalogue requests.
  • Market research and analysis of competitor and original equipment portfolios
  • Analysis of product line and product range performance
  • Analysis of the market, including but not limited to: -Market share, vehicles in operation and product value.
  • Contribute pro-actively to the strategic product direction
  • Develop pricing strategies and conduct pricing reviews to ensure our pricing remains relevant to market conditions whilst remaining profitable
  • Monitoring performance of product related KPI’s and reporting feedback and recommendations to relevant stakeholders across the business.
  • Customer and exhibition visits

To be successful in your application, you will: –

  • Have a minimum 3 years experience in the role of Product Manager
  • Have experience of managing a broad product portfolio throughout the complete product lifecycle
  • Have the ability to manage the expectations, demands, and priorities of multiple internal stakeholders
  • Experience of preparing presentations for knowledge sharing and training purposes
  • Have high levels of commercial awareness including product pricing
  • Have excellent negotiation, analytical and organisational skills
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Have high levels of computer literacy and use of Microsoft office and in particular, Microsoft excel is essential
  • Be a team player – we succeed together, not alone
  • Have the desire to learn
  • Be willing to travel
  • Previous experience of working in the automotive aftermarket is desirable.

We are recruiting an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team in Barnsley.

The role:

  • You will assist the Quality Manager in controlling the quality of products coming into the company to ensure product meets specification and assist other departments in the resolution of internal quality issues or concerns.
  • Use manual measuring equipment to validate components to drawing specifications
  • Use CMM to measure components
  • Validate product via the goods inwards inspection sampling process
  • Complete goods inwards inspection reports
  • Identify any con-conforming products and take corrective actions
  • Work closely with the development department on new sample approvals

To be successful in your application, you will:

  • Have previous experience of working within an engineering environment
  • Be experienced in the use of manual measuring equipment
  • Have a full understanding of geometric tolerances and engineering drawings
  • It would be desirable if you have experience in operating a 3 axis co-ordinate measuring machine (CMM) and profile projector.
