Around 100 customers attended the recent Melett Day in Lisbon, Portugal, organised by Melett and M.F. Pinto.
The attendees to the Melett Day were all from workshops who specialise in the assembly and repair of turbochargers. During the meeting, Melett’s engineers presented new trends in aftermarket turbochargers, as well as explaining the recent changes in the industry,and exploring the potential impact of these changes on repairers and remanufacturers of turbos.
The challenges that the repair industry will face in the near future were also addressed and M.F. Pinto and Melett shared their plans to help partner workshops overcome them and continue to repair.
Daniel Centeno, Melett’s commercial manager for Portugal and Spain, said: “It is very important to be close to the repairers and to help them have the parts they need to be able to continue to grow and grow.
“In Portugal, MF Pinto, has great experience and knowledge in the Portuguese market. They also have a large stock whicxh means pieces are always available to satisfy the customer when he needs it. ”
In turn, Paulo Pinto, manager of M.F. Pinto, considered the event to be important: “In addition to introducing new products from Melett, we have informed our customers about the aftermarket trends of turbochargers and we are thrilled to have had a good time.
“The turbocharger market is going to have a great evolution in the coming years and we want to help our business partners; offering them the best tools.”
The main feature of the Melett Day was the introduction of the new Melett turbochargers with OE quality, and which are already available in several references, including variable geometry and electronic valves.
In fact, this product is positioned at the price level below the OE product but with a premium quality, which differentiates it from the rest of the market.
