Melett joins BMTS Technology

We are delighted to announce that Melett Ltd has become part of BMTS Technology following its acquisition from Wabtec Corporation.

BMTS Technology is a global Tier 1 manufacturer of high technology automotive components for current and future powertrains, including turbochargers.

The acquisition of Melett expands BMTS’s global aftermarket business with a focus on the turbocharger repair and remanufacturing sales channels.

Chris Wallhead, Managing Director of Melett commented:

“We are delighted to be able to continue the Melett success story with BMTS Technology. With 30 years of experience behind us, joining forces with their platform is a natural next step in the evolution of our company.

“This move provides us with a foundation to further our operational efforts and product portfolio, strengthening the Melett brand while continuing partnerships with our long-standing customers.”

Mark Wehner, CEO of BMTS Technology, commented:

“Melett is an exciting expansion to strengthen BMTS’s aftermarket business. With this investment, BMTS will be able to leverage its full network of capabilities to seamlessly serve the global automotive aftermarket sector.”

For Melett customers, it is business as usual. The Melett team remains in place and will continue to operate from its offices in the UK, Poland and North America. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about the opportunities presented by the acquisition, please speak to your usual Melett contact.
